yes it downloads model, and runs it locally.

Working good so far. It's slower than wispr flow

why doesn't YC fund products like this ?

Hard to monetize I guess, omarchy and hyprland are also public domain and just build out of passion, like this project.

I see this link from zed and immediately know it must be something agentic to be on the front page of HN

HN used to be the best tech source in the world, to discuss new ideas and non main stream unconventional tech, but now everything seems like AI this AI that

Even though Zed has done a lot of good work on improving the IDE experience, the only way I see it coming on HN top page is if they showed the AI, and that's too sad

no ai bots

no social engineering

freedom to say whatever you want however you want

- No AI bots; agreed

- No social engineering; curious what this means here - you mean no social influencing on any topic?

- For freedom, the world always comes down to the jurisdiction and law of your country. If you violate the law, the platform needs to cut .

Freedom as in Free Speech, if you can speak it you can post it. Any form of targetting over the content posted by Government or Private Entities regardless of motive should be condoned. Thus making it an integral part of conservation of democracies where it exists and better tool for voicing concerns where there isn't democracies.

And by Social Engineering, what I meant was no base algorithm implemention for suggestions, just if you follow a topic you'll be able to see all it's post on selection of posts based on what's liked better by others or those who follow you or those who whom you follow. Or a feed spiraled into making you spend time on platform, it should be like Newspaper/Event + Community Responses(excluding bots).

What I don't understand that if two companies are in legal battle, can they discuss the case and try to influence public swing by doing a blog post or sharing evidence that is not verified by anyone other than the party sharing them.

OpenAI, even after raising this much capital, had never anticipated that something like this could happen yet keeps digging it's own grave.

At this point all that's left is for them to kiss and pay else they're done.

Apple vs OpenAI will be the war of legacies, trust and innovation.

Hubris.

With Trumps era, anything is possible

OpenAI always has the option of transforming themselves to a 'national security corporation' as I'd like to call it.

I mean, just look at Kim Dotcom or Aaron Schwartz.

Looks like a giant wireless charger

Often good candidates get rejected by poorly designed ATS and unclear HR requirements, AI here just helps candidates cross a hurdle that is communication acts like a translation layer between the two parties.

And very few people when hiring read a complete resume and judge solely on the basis of that.

it could also be Typesafe at compile time

It would seem what apps needed the most back then was more RAM and compute and it's still true today, we've just offload ed most of the compute and RAM requirements to GPUs now NVLink/NVswitch/Infiband is what Starlink was back then for $5000 DGX sparks and similar systems only

The vast majority of app's RAM usage requirements kinda stalled in last few years. It's just AI that needs it in gobbles

They could've run the same features and pricing as Azure foundry while keeping the ecosystem intact

Except Microsoft doing it's work
