$129/year is surely better than $300 once, 15 years ago. Though I'm guessing not offering it for free is to keep it distinct from iMovie and to maintain some semblance of "Pro"-ness (which I'm gathering is up for debate either way.. the last time I did any actual video editing it was on Final Cut Pro 5 so I'm out of the loop)

That was when I started remapping caps lock to esc and have never gone back.

My only point of reference is my MacBook Pro trackpad but I have no problem using my finger to move the cursor with my thumb resting on the trackpad and clicking. Not exactly the same because you lose some of the tactility of discrete buttons but it seems somewhat possible at least.

Yeah, most of the non-apple implementations of this don’t work with using a second finger to click in my experience. They expect you to click with the pointing finger.

Kodak isn't far off from $1/shot retail for some of their film stocks.

Portra 400 is ~$0.50/shot (35mm, 36 exp roll). 160 and 800 are in the same ballpark.

What film stock are you seeing that's $1/shot?

I didn't say it was $1/shot yet, though medium format Portra 400 is $16/roll (if buying in a 5-pack) which is at minimum $1/shot. E100G is a bit pricier depending on where you buy it as well. I'm mostly just salty because a decade ago I was paying $6-7 roll for Portra and now (in Canada) it's closer to $35-40.

Does that include development?

No, that’s extra. I don’t know if Kodak is selling those chemicals too.

Are you 100 years old?

No. But I have ears

Name one good movie since Titanic

Titanic 2

(I was replying to the person who called Nirvana cacophony/not music)

Yep it's a full DRM-free download.

I have a MS Extended Basic cassette for the Sol-20, also 8080 based.

I mean it's quite literally "we don't use typescript because some developers over-use it" which is essentially the same thing

I used this for a project a few years ago. It's quite intuitive and made developing a workflow/graph editor a relative breeze.

Similarly if Apple opened up every API and allowed every smart watch to do whatever it wanted, I'd still prefer an Apple Watch. I tried using a Garmin and "not being able to send an sms" isn't even on the list of things I disliked about it. Ugly clunky interface, pogo pin charging, a companion app that at times wouldn't look out of place on a Windows CE smartphone circa 2006, etc.
