This is the state the world is at.

Scammers are winners.

Don't give up to the facade just yet.

This is the creator of a product saying how good it is.

If you've worked anywhere professionally you know how every place has its problems, where people just lie constantly about things?

Yeah.

Keep at it and see where things go.

I'm also a dev a bit overwhelmed by all of this talk, at my job I've tried quite a few things and I'm still mostly just using copilot for auto complete and very small tasks that I review throughly, everything else is manually.

If this is indeed the future I also don't wanna be a part of it and will switch to another career, but all this talk seems to come only from the people who actually built these things.

Whole article seems very much all llm generated

Edit: I'm an idiot ignore me.

Not a single word of it was. I wrote this one entirely in Apple Notes, so there weren't even any VS Code completed sentences

It has emdashes because my blog turns " - " into an emdash here: https://github.com/simonw/simonwillisonblog/blob/06e931b397f...

My biggest appologies, a very bad move on my part. I'll pay more attention before any sort of accusation like this

No one should be making any accusations of AI generation without strong evidence other than vibes. That hurts the cause of anti-AI use and punishes people who don't use it.

Do elaborate, I don't see anything standing out

Did you read the article and come to that conclusion or just blindly count the number of em-dashes and assume that? Because I don't get the impression that it was LLM generated

So what? as long as it conveys the point it was supposed to, should be fine IMO.

If we are accepting LLM generated code, we should accept LLM generated content as long as it is "proof read" :)

Please just remove this, they are barely free, it's a freemium model not free. And generated with AI, useless.

Just another AI blog post.. moving on.

that's a good one not perfect for sure, hackers would just start buying domains earlier but still...

Yeah, but there is a takedown process when a spam site is detected (the server provider can shut off access, etc), so it is a game that is somewhat winnable.

Why is this here? This is basically self promoting stuff.

I was the same In high school.

2 weeks ago I hired a professor to help me learn math again so I can attend University computer science.

I can tell you, you can and should.

I'm totally addicted to math, I work as a programmer once I finish my work for the day I spend all my free time learning math again.

I'm still going over the very basics like 9 th grade stuff but I can see already it's going to go fine! I'm enjoying it so much!
