I build guitar amps and effects pedals as a hobby, and trying to monetize it sucked all the joy out of it so badly that I ended up leaving it completely for about 18 months. I've only just gotten back into it and I'm starting over by just building what I want to build for myself and not worrying about whether anyone else would want to buy it. If I end up with a couple extra pedals or PCBs I can put up on my Reverb store, that's fine. If someone buys them, great! But I'm not putting any more energy into trying to sell them.
