Other countries have different schemes. It’s a thing when you import a car from Japan for example, the FM bands are different so you have to swap the radio or buy a little band expander box to fudge it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FM_broadcasting

In the US, you only get 200kHz between stations, while other countries allocate 300kHz spacing, giving them slightly more bandwidth.
