There are no "pros". Agile was created by consultants to sell consulting, and the so-called "Agile Manifesto" is nothing but silly aphorisms unrelated to the task of developing and delivering software.
Did you even care to check who wrote the agile manifesto?
A good book about that might be clean agile by uncle Bob. It should will your view on the origin and history of agile.
