Anecdotal, but your experience seems to match well with my understanding of the dark side of scrum/standup.

Holding all else constant I hope to have a job where I am not on the spot for making some unknown amount of tangible progress every 24 hrs. Deep work cannot take place in short, consistent staccato steps. Sometimes big moves forward happen in a day. More often it’s a day better spent thinking hard, rather than thrashing around for quick answers.

Moreover, if I have to ask for extra help to make progress quickly and consistently, I miss out on the learning that trying things myself would provide.

In addition to being very unfulfilling, this means that I do not grow to properly understand the codebase in a timely fashion. This means I will under achieve over the long haul. All the better to judge me inferior I suppose. It can be quite toxic.
