Set aside that this was a handpicked taskforce the notion of any independence is not visible, nor is there indication that the things proposed in this report are needed or wanted by the "experts" that contributed.

To top it all of the cover page looks like it was hastily made in powerpoint.

I urge anyone to read as an example of how NOT to prepare a task force report:

Ugh, the UK to become a spammer's paradise, no-one saw that coming.


This article does a great job of describing how the current privacy practices of the tech world don’t comply with the GDPR at all despite all their assurances.
