Ask HN: Is it no longer possible to search the Google cache for cached pages?

I'll prepend this by saying I'm in the UK and I've tried in chrome and safari in case this is a regional or software specific thing.

I no longer see a link to the "cached" version of a search result in google. But I also notice the former trick of searching `cache:URL` in chrome fails, as does going to https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search directly

Click ...

You'll get a dialog box with a Cached button, at least on some pages/sites.

Eg site:news.ycombinator.com hacker news

I had better luck on desktop than on mobile.

Hmm, I don't see it on many of the sites I'm searching. Wikipedia entries I see it, but some legal and news ones I don't. I wonder if it's a new norobots/copyright thing

Even the desktop mode on a mobile browser works, but not mobile on a mobile browser.
