"With some official support" generally means that the library in question is in the stdlib.

The regex crate is owned by the Rust organization, but is not part of the stdlib. That said, I don't think there are any GUI crates that are as "standard" as regex is where this would make sense.

No it doesn’t. Tokio has some official support without being in the stdlib.
