Great post, I almost forgot the ICO craze. I wish people would stop pushing crypto, it's disappointing to see them shilling for something so stupid, useless and harmful.


Author here. I was going to include a section on NFT gaming, but the article was already running long.

NFT gaming is some of the worst of the NFT ecosystem, but time spent researching this area and the people running it is simply rage-inducing. NFT games combine the worst qualities of child-labor, pyramid schemes, false advertising, and having some truly horrible human beings in charge.

(should be "poring over")


The real value proposition (and genius) of NFTs is that they have been designed as assets that function as securities but can't be regulated as securities.
