Unfortunately I think we are stuck with Confluence. I don't have the sway to change software.

To help with finding things we are using a slightly modified implementation of the Johnny Decimal system (https://johnnydecimal.com). That's one of the news things I have implemented.

I like the idea about no orphaned articles, I think we have a few of those that need to be placed somewhere. Pointing out that responsibility thing is good, I'll have to make sure that we change our attitude a bit towards that.



Been checking out Johnny D. What are some of the parts you have modified & why?


The only thing we have really modified is the number of buckets allowed on the second tier from 10 to 100. So instead of having a number like 14.21, we'd have 104.21. The main reason is we have a category specifically for long term projects, and I imagine that we will quickly go over our ten allowed buckets for that. That's pretty much the only reason we've increased the number of buckets on the second tier.
