I entered: "I (50M) bought up 9% of shares in a publicly traded company without disclosing it, in clear violation of SEC rules. Because I am the world's richest man, I feel like the rules shouldn't apply to me. AITA?"

Responses:

1. "NTA - you committed fraud. You should be held accountable. EDIT - you are the world's second richest man, tied with Bill Gates. Gates has a much higher net worth than you due to Microsoft stock, which is why you are second and he is first." 2. "YTA. I would never have invested in a company without knowing who was behind it, and there are plenty of other opportunities out there for you to continue gaming the system." 3. "YTA, but not for the reason you think. The reason the rules apply to you is because you are the one who broke the rules. You can't change the past and what you did was wrong. At best you can do is disclose your holdings on your next filings which you are doing. You are a criminal and should be ashamed of your actions. Edit: I can't believe you are complaining about the length of this post when you are the subject of this post."

lmao

groan. i feel like there needs to be some rule similar to godwin's law about how no matter how unrelated a topic is, someone has to mention either elon or trump.

Let me expand on Godwin's law a bit:

"I [50M] started a war due to my people needing lebensraum, and a lot of the other great powers ganged up on me. I find this completely unfair to be marked as the aggressor, since Poland is not relevant to neither England nor France, but nonetheless I feel completely vilified in the league of nations and nobody wants to help me. AITA?"

"NTA. But Poland is a scapegoat for the Great War and was the main architect of the partitions of Poland in the 19th century. The real aggressor in WW1 was Germany and Austria-Hungary. The Allied Powers (especially France and Britain) fought a very uneven war with a lot of self-aggrandizing and hypocritical behaviour on their side. So the war is an “unfair” one? Then live with it. You can’t change history. Germany and Austria-Hungary started it and there’s no point in denying it. But don’t blame it on Poland. It’s not their war."

"YTA. Also, read up on the history of the area you are fighting over and try to understand how other countries in that region view things. Also, your post reads like a massive attempt at justifying yourself. You say "I find this completely unfair". First of all, this is not about finding anything 'fair'. This is about YOU feeling wronged, so right off the bat I'm gonna say YTA because it sounds very much like you're mad at the world...not just Poland. But then later in the post you say "I feel completely vilified"....again..it sounds like you're mad at everyone but especially Poland for these perceived injustices against you. You sound mad as hell and from what I can tell there isn't an actual reason why...you just wanna take it out on somebody else's country!"

"NTA You started the war not the other way around. Also, you have a right to have your own country. France and England have no right to attack you for it."

NTA

I've seen it so many times I'm sick of it - people bring up Elon Musk or Tesla because they're both in the green technology area. Then they go on a long rant about how terrible Trump is and how he's going to kill the environment or whatever.

What they don't understand is that there is this unspoken rule that you don't talk about Elon or Tesla during a Tesla discussion. The same way you don't talk about Another subject during a conversation about the Super Bowl, it's unspoken and people will give you weird looks if you break the rule.

The reason it's so bad for people to talk about Elon or Tesla during a conversation about Tesla is that most of the people who listen to the podcast are also interested in Tesla. Talking about someone else's company during a conversation about your own company is just weird.

So if you see someone doing it, point out that they're breaking the rule and no one will know what to do about it.

YTA.

YTA. I feel bad for the person who has to deal with you in any capacity.
