Yes, I have read the link in the top of the readme in the repo about the methodology.

It is fairly cool.

Still, it is unrelated to Open Source, which isn't about having source code or the like, but about licensing.

OSI's Open Source definition is more or less the same as GNU's four freedoms.



According to https://github.com/taviso/123elf/issues/105 there is no real chance for getting a FOSS license here.


Yes, I understand this is all done w/o the original code owners' permission.

It is sad we have to walk on eggshells with code from the 80s. Copyright terms really are a mess.
