The Rise of Workwear: A Fashion Paradox (getchestr.com)

Growing up, my parents were blue collar. They worked hard to ensure that I could avoid the kind of work they were doing, especially my dad, who was a welder and ironworker for about 40 years. I'm very grateful for that. If I wear this workwear -- a set of redwings or a heavy flannel, for example -- it's mostly in homage to my parents and the way I grew up. I like it, it's comfy.

I've been wanting to get one of those one-piece jumpsuits with the name patch on it... too much?

Not at all too much — they're gorgeous.

Overall, I think workwear is reflective of much more honorable values than tacky opulent brands. Check Heddels+ for a nice collection of workwear pieces (unaffiliated with them, just a big fan of their stuff!).
