We changed the URL from https://orbitaltoday.com/2023/12/09/avio-fuel-tanks-theft-or... (which doesn't seem to have significant new information but does seem to add sensational speculation) back to the original report. It was posted a few days ago, but only got 1 comment:

And I thought my last employer was disorganized when it took them 3 months to realize I still had their laptop and send me a return form.


Would that tracking system have helped?

Someone has sold them for scrap - I guess they’d have know exactly when they were last on site.

That sounds a lot more like accident than profit – metal sold for scrap doesn't end up in landfill.
