"Own" is one of those words that warn you a scam is coming. Like timeshare apartments. It baffles my mind that anybody wants to "own" a timeshare apartment when you could take the same money and enjoy an endless variety of resorts all over the world. Or the idea that you can "own" your own "independent business" with Amway.
It is OK to own something but the fetishization of ownership is a warning sign for scams and unsustainable situations. (e.g. continuously rising house prices)
