This is why I use the 76 app at gas stations. You can pay on the app and the pump is unlocked. No swiping or tapping.

FWIW, it didn’t seem particularly advanced — an overlay to capture/transmit the PIN, and an overlay to capture/transmit the magstripe. (Always tap, folks!)

And will they be similarly able to MTM chip cards?
