What a completely weird thing to identify yourself by number of commits. I can make 5k+ commits in 3 days. Does that make me a better developer?



I could see it as being a metric like lines of code written. The days I make more commits is usually because I coding poorly and having to fix my bugs and fix missed edge cases. Fewer well thought out tested changes are better


Yeah, low number of commits too if they are trying to brag. I did a PR the other day that was ~50 commits, and I only took a few hours.

At that speed working 40 days I’m already blasting this guys number of commits every year lol
