The biggest status symbol within the company was based around who got the latest iPhone model first, who was important enough to get a prioritized and yearly upgrade, and who was stuck with their older models for another year. This was back in the iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5 era. I took advantage of this by getting them to special-order me expensive niche Androids, because it was the only way they could get any employee to use one lol
