Isn't my experience, when I'm there. At least in Hamburg, Germany. They are electrifying like mad. More and more chargers everywhere, Buses, Scooters, E-Pedelecs, Bikes. Owned or rentals.

Which I'm mostly pleased with, because they are less loud, if not almost silent.

Still going faster than most of them on my good old bicycle, if not using public transport, and even then :-)
