I used to say money is never the problem when people ask what is needed to build a better society, because people don't care if the government spends $33B to commit genocide, but ask them to spend the same $33B to relieve student debt or subsidy health care or help the homeless, and they will strongly opposed to.

The US is $37 trillion in debt and operating on an accelerating deficit. Giving this much money to buy a genocide from a country with decades of ethnic cleansing legacy is completely selling the future health of the US for at least one or two generations to come.

This sounds treasonous of our political leaders. I am trying to think of another less extreme description but nothing so appropriate is coming to mind.

Our political leaders refuse to even say the word genocide - I don’t think they give damn.
