It's a really weird thing. I think the very strong negative emotions about COVID were simply naturally transferred over to Biden because he was a political enemy.
I think this is a dangerous reactionary mindset. When someone starts viewing their political enemies as the source of all evils it's very hard to have any sort of civil discourse.
In 2020 nobody knew what's actually going on. And I don't fault the 43 administration falling for the lies spewing out of the hacks at CDC. But the lockdowns, shutdowns, mask and vaccine mandates followed well into the latter part of 2022 and early 2023. Most of the federal workers fired for not taking the (now proven unsafe) shots happened in 22 and 23.
