Look, I get where you’re going, but if you think about what would _actually_ happen, it would definitely be much worse if they suddenly had to rehire the majority of the force.

I fail to see how you can get much worse than the systemic corruption and internal police gangs we already have while we pay them more than a top neurosurgeon. Incompetent cops is better than competent extortion.
