when they take down old.reddit.com (they require a log in, which makes no sense from a user's perspective) I would be gone. Turns out I retired before that due to mods censoring me willy-nilly style. It's interesting how the internet shifted towards more and more censorship. Can we not come up with an internet without censorship? I am not even against 0% censorship, e. g. I am fine if bots are not allowed to pester real humans, but specifically a lot of censorship that was and is going on on reddit, has to do with mods arbitrarily enforcing "rules". I know this is the case because I wrote just about the very same content and style on ALL subreddits - on some I ended up being censored, on others not. So that's individual mods abusing their anti-social powers.
On Hackernews this is not as bad, but the UI is annoying, especially the "you post too much". Well, I don't - but Hackernews simply has a rate limit that makes no sense. At the least the censorship on Hackernews is nowhere near close to the reddit censorship.
