This was for a game I was creating, but haven't had time to finish. However, I've seen enough people search for this and seen so many ugly implementations that I thought I would show my ugly implementation.

I'm mostly a backend developer, so I know my CSS and Javascript skills aren't brilliant. I would love feedback on them so I can better improve my skills in this area.
