The comments make it seem like it's more a case of users tolerating it due to the apps usefulness. Interesting video though, haven't had any contact with Chinese apps, so that was enlightening.

Tolerance of bad UI because of its usefulness (or if it is the only available option due to approval process and/or lack of competition) strikes me as a time-tested approach in enterprise environments. I dread to imagine that, but in real life. Is that how it is for people in the most populous country?

This reminds me of the StumbleUpon extension I used to use 15-20 years ago. I'll give this a try!

I was thinking of del.icio.us. I used that a fair bit within a group of collaborators.

Yeah, I used to use delicious!

The only question I'd have about this is how long will it last? Can it auto backup to Google Drive/Onedrive, etc etc? Something about social bookmarks seems to never go well.

thanks dude :)

You're proving their point.

Brushing teeth is a topical application of flouride, unless you swallow it, of course....

I think 'Holz Hausen' might be an American word [1], as I've never heard it before. It'd also roughly translate to 'wooden house'.

Over here we call it 'Holzmiete' [2], which translates to 'wood pay/wages'.

Fun fact: haystacks follow the same principle! [3]
